THE QUICK AND THE FABULOUS
THE FAMILY GROOVE'S NO MUSS, NO FUSS FALL 2006 TREND REPORT

No time for fashion, but still got that passion? We know how it is. But, as we always remind ourselves, it takes just as
much time to put on something cute as it does to throw on the same pair of faded Juicy sweatpants and slightly stained
tank top.

In the interest of time—yours—we gathered up all the style ammo you need to be a rootin' tootin' fashionista again.
Here's your clothes call for fall 2006— come-n-git it:

Bold is BeautifulFall Fashion Lady
Go for the bold colors—in smaller doses. Sprinkle your wardrobe with  jewel-tone splashes of ruby, sapphire, amethyst and emerald. Speaking of emerald, green, any and all shades, is the hue to do this fall.

Puff Mommy

Not as unattractive as it sounds, the cocoon-like silhouette is big this season. Big is actually big this season. Big collars, big puffy sleeves and skirts with volume are so very au courant.

Fur Keeps
Fur real or fur fake, fur looks hot. It's open season for opulence. Think over-the-top vests, oversized coats and jackets in striking colors.

Metal Mania
This season you'll be good as gold—and silver and bronze, too. Go for a gun metal belt, a bronze bag or gold leather pumps. It's time to get back into heavy metal—just don't start teasing your hair.

Show Some Leggings
Layers are the look this fall and the foundation of that look is leggings. Start with skinny leggings and a tight top, then throw on a great oversized knit sweater for day or a sheer black tulle skirt for night.  Pile this 80s throwback with a mini, long tunic and waist-cinched dress for that hipper than thou look you secretly covet.

The Emperor's New Clothes
Get your very own Napoleon complex with rich passementerie embellishments on tailored jackets and crisp white shirts with even crisper collars and sleeves. March into the cooler months in a peacoat or greatcoat.

Sack It Jackets
This season, blazers are blazing. More of that 80s theme here, don a blazer—plaid is so in— with your prized leggings or a fabulous pair of super skinny jeans.

Boot-iful
Ankle boots are the number one way to be well-heeled this fall. Yes, they're back, clunky zippers and all.

Hats On
Pair floppy hats with evening dresses for a night look that's very now. Day or night, summon your inner Parisian with a beret—you could even do a raspberry beret you found in a second-hand store.

So whether you seek out all or just some of this season's totally awesome, like tripindicular trends, remember that as the weather gets cooler you can still say hot.
