At THE FAMILY GROOVE, we say: “Think Global, GET IT Local.” It’s our mission to deliver
the groove
right to your doorstep—or computer screen, as it were. In TFG’s global village,
local stores share the
stage with national and international ones. Each month TFG will
introduce you to regional retailers
who have got it going on.

Boy, oh boy! There are actually some fabulous boys’ clothes out there—but finding them isn’t always so easy. Girls’ clothes seem to dominate a lot of coed shops, and girls-only boutiques are aplenty, but boys-only shops, well, they are few and far between. That’s why we are flipping for The Boy’s Store. Stocked to the hilt with drool-worthy duds for dudes (newborn to juniors), this one-stop shop keeps your lad looking good and saves Mommy the frustration of searching high and low for stylish, durable, quality and affordable wares for her little man, thus freeing her up to spend more time hunting down a sale on those boots she’s been eyeing. Why, it’s a win-win!
Here, Suzanne Remington, owner of The Boy’s Store, helps you dress Junior for success with her favorite five finds of the season.
THE SHIRT
“He’ll knock ’em off their feet in this brightly colored long-sleeve shirt with trendy graphic motorcycle stuntman design. Plus, it’s 100 percent cotton and tagless for greater comfort.”
THE JEANS
“This is your classic five-pocket jean, with leather tab and buffalo nickel ‘coin’ adornment. It features a full elastic waist for better fit and to help ease into self-dressing.”
($39 regularly and $23 on sale, Vintage Denim Jeans by Dogwood )

THE HAT
“This nostalgic airplane pilot hat with flaps keeps that little boy nice and warm thanks to its 100 percent washable polyester fleece.”
($16 regularly, $11 on sale, Brown Lindberg Cap by Flap Happy)
THE OUTFIT
“This soft long-sleeve shirt is paired with a comfortable yoga-style pant, both 100 percent cotton and made in the USA.”
THE ACCESSORY
“I love these wonderful European-style socks with fun boy-themed graphics. Bonus: They will stay on and please any choosy little tyke.”
($4.50 regularly, $3.50 on sale, Help Is on the Way Socks! by Country Kids)

What the heck does "Special Section" mean? Well, it means that these businesses paid a small (like, pretty darn small) fee to be included. THE FAMILY GROOVE strives to support mom and pop businesses by giving them a venue for their super cool sites, ideas and products—and, quite honestly, we strive to pay our bills, too. So we've taken seven articles a month (out of 25+) and made them fun and exciting ways to promote the next best thing, much like in the way a publicist would. We believe in the companies we feature. We research, vet, scrutinize, analyze and obsess over every single solitary company that is included in this section to bring you the grooviest of the groovy. We're all in this brave new world together, right? And so we've got to support each other in any and every way we can. We hope you dig our finds as much as we do.
