Neti PotNeti Pot

There was a time in my life when I just about subsisted on antibiotics. I actually became resistant to them—yuck! Are you ready for what saved me? A neti pot. For years, I had heard of them from some of my hoodoo-guru-yoga-lala friends. Everyone who recommended a neti pot claimed it to be a panacea—and I am here to say that it is indeed a cure-all for Neti Pot Saltyour aching and infected sinuses.

A neti pot is a genie lamp–looking thing into which you put salt and warm water. Then, over a sink, you tilt your head, put the spout to one nostril, pour in the saltwater and watch as it comes out the other nostril. Repeat for the other nostril. At first, it’ll freak you out a bit, but then you won’t go a day—or twice a day—without. If you can get your kids to stand still, you can use it on them, too.

You can buy a neti pot at most health food stores, including Whole Foods.

Climb On

Climb On!

I am absolutely wild about the products from Climb On! The company sent me testers to try, and I am sold. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I got bumps on my arms, and I’ve periodically gotten them since. Two dermatologists told me that it was hereditary and there was really not much I could do about it. Two nights into applying the Climb On! Crème ($26), not only was my skin as soft as butter and as glowy as J. Lo’s, but the bumps started to go bye-bye—and after about a week, they were totally gone. My husband loves the Climb On! Lip Lube ($3)—and he’s tried every chapstick-type thing out there. I also am living for the Climb On! Bar because it’s refurbishing my heels, which used to look great the day of the pedicure and then promptly return to dry and not so cute. Every night I pack on the Bar ($8.75) and every morning I marvel at my smooth and lustrous tootsies—yes, I am way serious. I live for results and these ones are instant and lasting. Oh, and the best part is that all the products are 100 percent all-natural—score!

Jin Patisserie

Jin Patisserie

I am living for the chocolates from the super-luxe Jin Patisserie, an online boutique sweets shop in Venice, Calif. They make a faaaab-u-lous hostess or holiday gift. Guided by the inspiration to make food that offers life enhancement, the patisserie’s chocolates, cakes and cookies are just sublime—beautiful to look at and delectable to taste. I recommend the 12 Piece Box for its gorgeous presentation and unique flavors, including tea, spice, herbal, Asian, citrus and alcohol. Your gal pals will truly appreciate you turning them on to these little bits of heaven.
