Customizable SIGG Bottle

Customizable SIGG bottles from CafePress

Like lots of folks these days, I’m trying to do what I can to live a “greener” life. I’m shutting off lights, turning off the water when I brush my teeth and am shopping at my local farmers’ market when I can. To reduce waste, I’ve forgone drinking bottle after plastic bottle of water. Instead, I’ve taken to chugging my H2O from a SIGG bottle. But it’s not just any ol’ SIGG—it’s a personalized version from CafePress (specifically, the “Victorian” design monogrammed with my initials, ’cause I just have to do everything “cute”). I chose the liter version, but they’ve got 0.6-liter versions with kiddie designs, too. Being green hasn’t been this adorable since Kermit the Frog.

Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary Edition

Little Tikes Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary Edition

Right up there with Barbie, Legos and those little plastic baby keys, Little Tikes’ Cozy Coupes have rightfully earned iconic toy status. As this year marks the classic ride-on vehicle’s 30th anniversary, Little Tikes created a special anniversary edition of their best-seller. New features include storage space, a removable floor, a built-in handle on back for parent-controlled push rides, a pretend ignition switch and an open-and-close gas cap. Can you say “perfect holiday gift”?

Dishwasher Magic

Dishwasher Magic Dishwasher Cleaner & Disinfectant

Lately, my dishwasher’s been smelling rather funky. To rectify the problem, our plumber recommended I hook myself up with some Dishwasher Cleaner & Disinfectant from Dishwasher Magic, saying it removes the mineral, rust and calcium build-up that can clog water jets, leading to that gross, musty smell. Available at most hardware stores, it’s super simple to use: All you do is unscrew the cap, place it upside down in your dishwasher’s utensil basket and run a dish-free cycle once a month. The result: a disinfected, sparkly clean and clean-smelling washer. And lest you worry that it’s full of all sorts of scary chemicals, rest assured that it’s the only EPA-approved dishwasher cleaner and disinfectant proven to kill 99.9 percent of germs, and it’s safe for all dishwasher model interiors and plumbing and septic systems.
