Okay, so we’ve made it to June, and you know what that means—summer is right around the corner! The flowers are out, the birds are singing and you are probably enjoying some much-needed sun. This month, I’ve found a great, stay-put sunscreen for babies; an information-packed book to guide parents through baby stages; and a website filled with ideas for family fare. Happy June! |

Coppertone Water BABIES Stick Summer brings with it splashing, sun-tanning and frolicking in the sand, but it can also bring some not-so-fun sensitivity to baby skin, which means you need to be armed and ready to fight those strong rays. Coppertone’s Water BABIES Stick is a great accessory for any pool party or beach bonanza. Plus, it stays where you put it on baby’s face, so lather that button nose, apply it to little ears and slather across cheeks. This waterproof, hypoallergenic, fragrance-free sunscreen is the No. 1 pediatrician-recommended brand, so go on and enjoy the sun, but protect that skin first! |

What to Expect the First Year What to Expect the First Year is a true companion resource to the well-known What to Expect When You’re Expecting by Heidi Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg and Sandee Hathaway, BSN. It’s filled with information on developmental milestones for baby, breast-feeding, home safety, sleeping and acclimating an older child to life with a newborn. Whether it’s read from cover to cover or used to look up specific info, this is a great gift for an expecting or new mama. |

AnnabelKarmel.com I stumbled upon Annabel Karmel’s books a while back, but I just recently discovered her idea-filled website of recipes for expecting mamas, nursing mamas and the whole gang. I love her “easy-cook” recipes that are not only quick to prepare but taste great and will fill those tummies. Her ideas for easy first foods, finger foods and toddler-pleasers will save you from racking your brain for new, exciting ways to keep them happy. Treat someone you know to her information-packed books, like Top 100 Finger Foods or Annabel Karmel’s Complete Family Meal Planner. Mmmmm… |
