Sexy, confident, secure—when we think about what we are going to wear to
tonight's holiday party, dinner with
friends or even drinks with our husband,
these words come to mind. We all want to get dressed without the push,
the
pull, the tug, the squeeze, the suck, the gasp and the furrow. With the holiday
season's slinky dresses, gorgeous
spaghetti strap silk blouses and other arm-
revealing garb, the best accessory is a toned upper body.
Of course we want our entire body to be tight and toned. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that you can’t spot reduce
fat on your body. Fat is reduced evenly throughout your body by increasing your heart rate and burning calories. So
for example, 500 sit-ups a night is not going to give you a six-pack without ample cardio. So this month, in lieu of the
dressing demands of the season, we're focusing on what is seen the most: your arms, upper back and shoulders.
This upper body superset workout can be done every night. All you need is a set of dumbbells. So do your cardio
during
the day (three to five times a week) and these supersets at night for a good looking upper body that you can feel great about.
