BLOGS WE DIG
Free Range KidsChiChiBean.com is fun. It’s just a happy, fun site that makes you want to shop.
The site’s got yumalicious things for babies and kiddos (like clothing, shoes, toys, gifts and eco-friendly gear) and hot stuff for moms (we so crush on the Mija “Mama Bird”necklace—uh, if any male birds are reading this).
Unfortunately, our money tree is growing a little sparsely lately. Are you noticing the same with yours?
Ugh—it’s so annoying, but we’re confident it will come back to its former lush, money-bearing self.
And we’ve recently planted more money trees (from good seeds or so says the man who sold us the seeds) and we expect them to sprout green any day now.
Woo-hoo!
In the meantime, feast your economy-weary peepers on this: an up to 60-percent-off sale!
Plus, a little birdie told us (well, Chiara, the owner told us, but we’re going with this bird thing—even though we meant to go with a tree/seed/planting thing) that the site is offering free shipping on orders of $75+ (no coupon needed) and an additional 20 percent off with code extra20, when spend $150+.
Happy sale-ing—and remember to do some good seeding when you’re done.
After all, you reap what you sow!

Okay, before I even get into what this blog post is really about, I have to take a moment to
clarify a few possible mondegreens (aka misunderstood or misheard lyrics) that I just finally sorted out when I went to look up the the lyrics to “Land Down Under.”
I mean, the entire song is basically one big mondegreen—well, for me anyway. See the below for the real lyrics juxtaposed with my mondegreens in parentheses.
Traveling in a fried-out combie (not sure what I thought that was)
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie (ditto)
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,
“Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder? (I definitely didn’t know it was “plunder”)
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.”
Buying bread from a man in Brussels (“I’m bred from a man in Brussels”)
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, “Do you speak-a my language?”
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,
“I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder (“chunder” means to throw up—just looked that one up)
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.”
Lying in a den in Bombay (“I met a man in Bombay”—gee, I guess I thought that the Men at Work dudes were pretty darn friendly)
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, “Are you trying to tempt me” (“I said to the man, ‘Are you trying to touch me?’”)
Because I come from the land of plenty?”
And he said,
“Oh! Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.”
Oh—and this has really nothing to do with the post but it’s worth including: My daughter
was singing “Rock the dance floor! Rock the dance floor!” yesterday in the car (instead of “Rock the Casbah.”)
Sorry, Joe. RIP.
Okay, and now back to the Land Down Under by way of the US-based, mom-owned PoppyClementine.com.
Poppy Clementine is the only US webstore that sells Three Little Trees, an adorable line from Australia.
Is that tee and bloomers set a beauty, mate (holla, Wiggles!) or what?
Things to know:
1. Most of the collection is on super-sale right now.
2. The line is for babies and kids.
3. The Jitterbug shorts are almost too much for me to handle—they are so cute!
4. You can get 15% off all non-sale items with code TFG15
5. I thought “Sharif don’t like it” was “I really don’t like it.”
