THE FAMILY GROOVE, an online magazine and local resource guide for parents with a reach of more than 160,000 a month, exists to pay it forward. Whether it is the need-to-know info in our 3,000-plus pages of original content, TFG-signature moms' nights out, TFG-brand events, giveaways, coupons or charitable donations, we are rooted in go-giving.
While we've been actively supporting local and national nonprofits via editorial profiles; event coverage; ad space; exclusive network access; and financial, gift bag and giveaway donations, we now seek to hone our focus and engage with a select group of organizations in even more meaningful and dynamic ways.
Enter: THE FAMILY GROOVE's 2012 Charity Partner Program. Based on our Premier Partner Program, successfully piloted in 2010, the program creates lasting brand awareness from an online, e-mail and offline campaign designed to deliver our charity partners' messages in a number of targeted, powerful and dynamic ways.
We handpicked the below organizations for their unique missions, unparalleled commitment to the cause and passion for creating lasting change.
Please join us in supporting these worthwhile organizations in any way you can. From spreading their messages to volunteering to donating to simply checking out their websites, your actions can be part of the change chain, and you can help contribute in your own way to the greater good of us all.
Best for Babes
The Best for Babes Foundation is the only mainstream nonprofit devoted to helping parents beat the booby traps™‚ the cultural and institutional barriers that prevent moms from achieving their personal breastfeeding goal—whether that's two days, two months or two years! Co-founders Bettina Forbes and Danielle Rigg, who were themselves booby-trapped, are building the Mother of All Causes to ensure that all moms are able make an informed feeding decision without pressure, judgment or guilt, and that all breastfeeding moms are cheered on, coached and celebrated to a successful finish!

The Body Positive
The Body Positive implements educational programs that transform individual and societal beliefs around weight, body image and identity. The result of this work is a national movement of healthy, confident individuals contributing to positive change in the world. Body hatred, eating disorders and poor self-care are on the rise in this country. The Body Positive responds to this health crisis by teaching people the Intuitive Health™ Model, giving them skills to replace ineffective and harmful eating and exercise habits with positive self-care behaviors that create real and sustainable health. The model comes to life through workshops, leadership trainings and DVDs. The beauty of the work is that people not only improve their physical health, but also become free from the narrow obsession with weight and image, and engage passionately in changing the world instead of their bodies.

Our mission: to empower anyone with a hand on a child with the basic lifesaving skills needed to sustain a life in a crisis until help arrives.

Founded in 2009, Growing Up For Good creates and supports nature-based programs that benefit the physical and emotional well being of children and inspire a mind-set for community service. We connect with children, primarily 2 to 6, through educational and arts based programs that celebrate the environment and provide a basic understanding of what it means to respect nature and our community; embodying this understanding helps children grow into more compassionate and responsible individuals.

The Kortney Rose Foundation
The Kortney Rose Foundation (KRF) is a 501(c)(3) organization that was set up by Kortney's mother as a way to help channel her grief into something positive. Her hopes are to make a difference, in Kortney's name, in the fight to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for pediatric brain tumors. Our fundraising efforts will directly benefit the pediatric brain tumor research being done at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
